submersible pumps. The 233P-1.5-ENCL is designed for 230 VAC motors from 1/3 to 1.5 HP for submersible pump applications.

and safeguards against common electrical and mechanical faults.
The 233P-1.5-ENCL is a pump protection device designed for 230 VAC motors from 1/3 to 1.5 horsepower, commonly used in
water handling and pumping applications such as residential water wells and agricultural irrigation systems.
It features a NEMA 3R outdoor enclosure for weather protection, continuously evaluates electrical
conditions using microcontroller-based protection, and has a voltage monitoring trip range of approximately
190–265 VAC. The enclosure allows technicians to view diagnostic LEDs without opening the box, and an
infrared interface enables communication with diagnostic tools.
How the 233P-1.5-ENCL Protects Pumps
It provides pump protection for submersible pumps and jet pumps in systems
where running dry can occur, including wells that may be sucking air.
It is designed to protect 2- or 3-wire pumps and provide protection from dry well conditions, dead-head,
jammed impeller, rapid cycle, overvoltage, undervoltage, and Waterlogged Tanks conditions, and can
automatically shut the motor off when fault conditions are detected so the system
can be safely shut down.
A calibration adjustment helps match the unit to specific pumping applications and reduce nuisance tripping.
It is installed in a control box for well pump applications and may require manual reset
or calibration adjustment depending on the application.
Enclosure and Diagnostics
The enclosure can also be mounted on a wall for easier access to status lights and diagnostics.
The NEMA 3R outdoor enclosure adds protection and lets technicians view indicator lights and diagnostic LEDs
for complete system status without opening the box. An infrared interface supports communication with diagnostic
tools for faster troubleshooting and service for the customer.
Pressure Tanks and System Integration
Pressure tanks store water under pressure for consistent supply and help maintain water pressure in plumbing
systems, and can be paired with a wide range of water system products
including pumps, tanks, and treatment equipment. They can prevent pump cycling to extend lifespan,
and may be made from steel or fiberglass.
